The seven languages Boafo supports, and what the Beta label means.
Boafo supports seven languages. Language names are shown in the language itself first.

What Beta means
A language is labelled Beta until it passes its own quality check by native speakers. All six Ghanaian languages go through the same check; none gets a lower bar.
For each language:
- A glossary of fixed government terms, such as Ghana Card, TIN and district assembly, is agreed with native-speaker linguists.
- The interface and the main service pages are translated by professional translators and approved by reviewers. They are not translated by a machine.
- Answers are written in English from official sources, then translated using the glossary. Fees, dates, links, reference numbers and office names are copied exactly from the English source and are never translated.
- An evaluation set of questions written by native speakers is scored by two native-speaker reviewers.
The Beta label comes off only when the language meets both of these:
- at least 90% of answers are rated 4 out of 5 or better for accuracy;
- there are no critical errors, such as a wrong fee, wrong eligibility or wrong office, anywhere in the set.
While a language is in Beta
- Parts of the interface may still appear in English.
- Every translated answer has a link to the English original.
- You can report a translation that is wrong. Reports go to the review team for that language.
If a language's quality drops after launch, the Beta label comes back and answers are shown in English with a notice.
Voice
Voice input for a language is switched on only when its speech recognition meets an accuracy threshold on recordings made in Ghana. Audio is processed and then discarded. It is never stored.
