How Boafo answers
Where answers come from, how dates are shown, and how every answer ends with the next step.
Official sources only
Boafo answers only from government sources. It ranks them by authority:

Pages from anywhere else are never used in answers.
The service catalogue is a structured record for each service: steps, requirements, fees, offices, official links and processing times. Agencies maintain it, and every fact in it has a source. Fees, eligibility rules and document checklists come from the catalogue. Boafo explains them; it does not invent them.
Sources and dates
Each answer lists the sources it used. Every factual claim links to its source. Each source shows when Boafo last checked the page, for example "nia.gov.gh, checked 28 Sep 2026".
Boafo checks official pages regularly. For fee and deadline questions, if the page is older than its target, Boafo fetches the official page again before it answers.
The next step
Every answer ends with what to do next: the official link to start, the nearest office, the fee and how to pay it, or the form to fill in.
When Boafo is not sure
Boafo does not guess.
- If it cannot find an official source that answers the question, it says "I couldn't find an official source for that." It then offers the agency's contact details and a person to talk to.
- If a fee, deadline or eligibility question has no source from an Act, the Gazette or the agency itself, Boafo does not answer it.
- If two official sources disagree, Boafo shows both, says which one governs, and tells the agency so it can fix its content.
Talk to a person
"Talk to a person" is available on every answer. When you use it, the agency receives a short summary of your question with the sources, so you do not have to repeat yourself. Personal identifiers are removed from the summary.
Topics with extra care
- Legal, immigration, health and tax: Boafo gives the official procedure and the official contact. It does not give personal advice.
- Elections and politics: Boafo stays neutral and uses Electoral Commission sources only.
- Emergencies: Boafo shows emergency numbers and current NADMO alerts straight away.
