Introduction
Boafo is the Government of Ghana's assistant for government services. It answers questions from official sources and tells you the next step.
Boafo is one front door to Ghana's government services. You can ask it about a service in plain words, for example how to replace a lost Ghana Card or what it costs to register a business. Boafo answers from the official pages of ministries, departments, agencies and assemblies.

- In the Boafo apps for iPhone and Android.
- On WhatsApp.
- By voice, in the apps and on WhatsApp.
You do not need an account to ask a question.
What an answer looks like
Every answer:
- is short and written for you;
- lists the official sources it used, with the date each source was last checked;
- ends with the next step: the official link, office, fee or form.
When Boafo cannot find an official source, it says so and offers to put you in touch with a person. Read How Boafo answers for the details.
Languages
You can ask in English, Twi, Mfantse, Ewe, Ga, Dagbani or Hausa. English is the source of truth. The Ghanaian languages are labelled Beta until each one passes its own evaluation by native speakers. Read Languages.
What Boafo is not
- Boafo does not speak for the President or for any agency. The agency's own website and offices remain the authority for their services.
- Boafo does not make decisions about you. Eligibility checks are indicative only.
- Boafo does not take payments. It links to the official way to pay.
Who runs Boafo
Boafo is a Government of Ghana service. Agencies manage the information about their own services through the Boafo agency console. Every answer is recorded in an audit trail so it can be checked later.
